ISLAMABAD: (PAKISTAN) A five-judge larger bench of the Supreme Court will begin from Tuesday hearing of the case pertaining to non-implementation of the apex court’s verdict on the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).The SC larger bench headed by Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk summoned Law Minister Babar Awan for explaining the government’s position on failing to write to Swiss authorities for reopening the money laundering cases against President Asif Ali Zardari. The apex court had announced its verdict on NRO on December 16, 2009 but the government has so far failed to take action on it and consequently creating an atmosphere which led to the resignation of an attorney general and a law secretary. The SC on the occasion of hearing of the case relating to NRO implementation has put in place extraordinary security measures. Special passes have been issued for entering SC premises and into the court room.CCTV cameras have also been installed in the vicinity of the SC to avert any untoward incident.
